Mi casa es su casa... Spanish for "make yourself at home!"
Ok. Back to français... Bienvenue à l'Unité 6. Unité 6 will take you on a house tour. Your "chez toi" (home) is part of your daily routine. As we learned in Unité 5 that is where il/elle se réveille, se lève, se lave, s'habille, se repose et se couche. Remember the REFLEXIVE VERBS?! Hope you didn't forget, it was just in the last Unité. (Go back and review if you need to.
Many love to use the proverb that says, "Home is where the heart is..." Yes, it is but when you go to a French speaking country you will need to learn where les toilettes sont et où se trouve la salle de bains? What???... there are two bathrooms...? No! But in most houses and apartments in France, these two, are separate. You will also need to learn about the rez-de-chaussée so you don't find yourself on the 4th floor when you are suppose to be on the 3rd floor... Hope you are not confused yet. And if this question every comes up, why do toilet bowls in USA have a lot more water in them than Europe? It just has to with the make and model of the toilet bowl.
Well enough with toilets...
Le Passé Composé should NOW REALLY BE IN THE PAST however... what WERE YOU DOING IN THE PAST while LEARNING the Passé Composé... WHAT?
For example: I was reading my French book when the doorbell rang. Two past actions and two different tenses. The IMPERFECT is the name and doing things in the past is his game.
You also know that you can COUNT on YOUR TEAM and MME BECK when you need help and encouragement!
Please pick up a Checklist of the themes and objectives you will learn in this unit or print one.
